Russell Miranda  

One of life's great characters 

Born in Goa in 1947 Russell lived a fascinating life, firstly in the UK, and then spending many years in Germany before finally deciding that the warmth of the Costa del Sol was more to his liking.

He was well known in the Fuengirola area as well as Gibraltar, and had many friends who enjoyed his live music on the Costa del Sol, particularly at the Tuesday and Saturday markets in Fuengirola, and opposite Mercacentro. Those who knew him will miss this likeable character and his dog Charlie. 

I have now been contacted ny Rusell's brother Glenn in Australia and by one of his daughters, Yvonne, in Germany, who hopes to visit Fuengirola.

Live music on the Costa del Sol

There is a great variety of live music on the Costa del Sol, and entertainment for all tastes.

There are loads of clubs and bars with individual artists and groups, and some great bands, including Irish folk, blues, country and western, and many singers who cover the whole range from the 1960's up to date.

For many years Russ Miranda has entertained 1000's while strumming his guitar and singing old favourite songs.
